#CDIL15 Update: Frerichs & Schakowsky to Speak

The CDIL Executive Board is excited to announce two new speakers for our convention coming up April 11-12 in Chicago. State Treasurer Mike Frerichs, CDIL's Honoary Chair, will be joining us for the third year in a row as a keynote speaker at our Saturday reception. Congresswoman Jan Schakowsy of Illinois' 9th Congressional District will be joining us for the first time as a speaker on Sunday morning, adding a strong anchor to the end of our convention! They join an already strong line up that includes Congresswoman Robin Kelly and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. More speakers will be announced soon! The CDIL Executive Board is excited to officially invite you to the 2015 College Democrats of Illinois State Convention, hosted at DePaul University April 11-12. Democratic leaders from around the state will address the convention, talking with CDIL about major state and national issues. Breakout discussions will include campaign training, getting campuses engaged policy issues, and growing chapter membership. This legislation would allow those with outstanding student loan debt to refinance at a lesser rate.
